CBSE has asked inclusion of First- aid as one of the eight co-curricular activities in the scheme of examination. "The efforts by CBSE is to particularly include the comprehensive coverage of the topics, First Aid and Basic Emergency Care in the Health and Wellness sectors”.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has sent to all the affiliated schools to provide First-aid programme to students besides ensuring that adequate facilities are available to provide emergency care in the school premises.
As per CBSE affiliation bye-laws schools have been advised to do everything possible to provide a safe and healthy environment to students, so that they feel secure physically as well as emotionally.

IICBAGS provides Accreditation for observing Gender Sensitivity in Schools as part of Community education program and Social Action. It is a joint certification program by various organisations connected with Education and Gender Sensitivity.
Gender: It refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, activities and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women.
Gender equality: Equal treatment of men and women in laws and policies, and equal access to resources and services within families, communities and the society at large.
Gender Sensitiveness: The ability to recognise gender issues. It is the way forward to gender awareness and a move towards Gender Responsiveness resulting in designing of appropriate mechanisms for addressing or correcting inequalities between girls and boys/women and men in a school or company or college. For example a school can decide to give extra lessons in Physics and Mathematics as to improve Girl’s performance.

In several books and textbooks girls and women are depicted as fairies, as silly, as timid and cowardly. Teachers while dealing with such content should handle this negative/passive attributes carefully so that no wrong message goes.
Effective pictures and illustrations should be shown as to the children to portray that a woman is not merely a mother but can also be an engineer, a diplomat, a teacher, an administrator, a doctor, a professor, a politician, a social reformer or a social worker, a captain of a ship, a pilot of a plane, a freedom fighter, a wild life enthusiast etc,.
AIIED is organizing WISE ( Women In Studies & Employment ) with the sole aim of bringing together women role models. It is an NRI backed Global Project of AIIED. The associates in WISE – Mahila Sishu Samrakshana Samithi (MASS), Mahila Vidya and Udyog, Andhra Vanitha Mandali provide the right platform for the women to show case their technical skills and leadership qualities. WISE has launched the project “ PROGRESS – Promote Gender Equal Societies in Surroundings. “WISE lays utmost confidence in the ability of women to bring needed awareness, in all fields of activities. “ Just as a bird could not fly with one wing, a nation could not march farward if the women are left behind” – Swamy Vivekananda.
B) GREEN CLUB: The Schools will be awarded for Greenery in and around school campus and for promoting Ecology and Ecosystem.
Educate Bhaarath encourages the schools to form Green Clubs among the students and there by promoting the significance of Greenery and Green plants. This will create an awareness among the students about the environment and the protection of Green plants.

D) FORMATION OF FIRST-AID AND HEALTH CLUBS IN SCHOOLS:Educate Bhaarath encourages the school management for the formation of First-aid and Health Clubs in Schools.
Importance of Health Education in Schools.
Today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens. Every good citizen will make a healthier society. It is essential to give children proper health education, right from their school level. By providing children with effective health education, schools can decrease health risks.
Students spend most of their time in school. So, the teachers play a vital role in developing healthy behavior in students. Developing and promoting healthy behavior also is part of the curriculum. Health awareness in students helps in getting good academic results.
Health education to students should necessarily include preventive programs (First aid and activities to educate students about the sanitary standards and hygienic conditions).
Teachers should communicate clearly with students in classrooms, about topics related to proper nutrition , exercise, health awareness, importance of First aid etc.
Government of India is giving lot of importance to promotion of health education in schools and educational institutions. Teachers should pay special attention to promote healthy behavior in school children.
That is the reason, Educate Bhaarath is promoting health education to teachers and students in the educational institutions.
First aid & Disaster Management PPts will be shared to the Whatsapp of the Teachers, after completing the Registration by the Teachers.
First- aid will minimise danger before one is taken to a Health care Centre . This may well mean the difference between life and death.
First- aid consists of a kit or box containing medications and treatment for basic injuries and health problems. Some of the basic medicines include remedies for mild fevers, headaches, cuts, bruises, pain killers and so on. Keeping a First- aid box available at school is mandatory for all schools. . The First- aid kit should have all the basic medicines and treatments for the students. Some of the items required in First- aid kits are;
• Plasters or dressings for cuts and bruisesSafety of children in schools is one of the top priorities of parents, teachers and school administration. This has brought First-aid and health to the forefront making it a priority in schools. Awareness in staff and schools in First-aid and health not only boosts the safety of the entire school, but it also can be the difference between life and death in the event of a medical emergency. Introducing First–aid and health for students provides them with invaluable life skills. First-aid requires leadership, the patience to listen to those around you and also encourages teamwork. First Aid in the Community: Something that has become a vital part of medical services are Neighbourhood First . Remember, the more people you have in the community trained in basic first aid , the more people are able to help in emergency situations and save lives.

First –aid and Health Club of India will have rules regarding the Franchise. Schools should follow the operational policies of the Franchise to ensure consistency within the chain.
The school will be allotted Affiliation number and the Charter based on region or the location of that particular school.
The One time Franchise fees of Rs. One thousand only is paid by the school as franchise fee for “ First-aid and Health Club of India “ name and banner .
First –aid and Health Club of India will provide the school with the Club logo and also ongoing support and assistance will be provided to the School in First-aid and health programmes.
The schools will be totally provided with Reading material, videos, Certificates and Faculty Development programmes. The franchise school will be permitted by the Club to function on behalf of First –aid and Health Club of India. The school should comply with rules and regulations of First-aid and Health Club of India.

The School Excellence Awards will be awarded based on the survey and evaluation of the schools conducted by the Selection Committee appointed by Educate Bhaarath .
